The 21st edition of the Ecrans Noirs film festival will begin tomorrow July 15 in Yaounde.
According Bassek BA KOBHIO, Ecrans Noirs’ Executive Officer, some 16 panelists drawn from national and international film sphere will deliberate this year’s event.
The prestigious film festival is reputed for celebrating the black world in cinema and promoting African films while making it visible and loved through the diffusion of films. It equally enables professionals of the 7th art to enrich themselves with activities developed outside the screening rooms.
Ecrans Noirs Film Festival was found in 1997 by the association Ecrans Noir in the bid to promote and enhance cinema in Africa and Black World. In 2008, it became a competitive festival which incorporated the distribution of numerous awards to outstanding talents.
The film event is a platform for young talents and professionals of the 7th art to reconnect with film, actors and directors in the African continent.
