A join FIFA/CAF mission tasked with creating a normalisation committee for Cameroon’s begins meeting with the country’s football authorities today.
The delegation which arrive Cameroon yesterday September 6, is set to consult with stakeholders in the domain of football in country and eventually appoint members of the Normalisation Committee.
On Friday September 8, the Committee will be officially installed. It is still unclear on who will who will eventually be voted into a new FECAFOOT Executive by 28th February 2018 but many football overs hope the FIFA/CAF mission will put an end to the long lasting crisis rocking the country’s football.
The new team, going by FIFA, will among other things “run the day-to-day operations of the body, revise the statutes of the regional and departmental leagues and ensure their conformity with the statutes of Fecafoot, identify the delegates of Fecafoot General Assembly as well as the regional and departmental leagues and oversee elections by next March to replace disputed polls in 2015 for the Cameroon federation board “.
